Meet Bri
Bri is a writer and editor with a passion for helping others tell their stories. She has been working working toward a master’s in Creative Writing at Harvard Extension School and developing a collection of poetry that explores themes of love and heartbreak. Her creative journey also includes running her own small photography business and dabbling in modeling, where she expresses her love for visual storytelling. She’s also worked on her university’s editorial staff for its literary magazine, where she had the honor of being published. Having served as an editor and proofreader for the state government, she’s cultivated the skills necessary to turn ideas into polished, impactful pieces. Meet Sankara
Sankara is the author of two collections: “Ebony Wings” and “Ode to our Frailty”, longlisted for the Black Sexton poetry prize, and, hopefully soon, a third collection, titled “Afro-Dreaming” Longlisted for the Thirty West chapbook prize. They hold an MFA degree in poetry from the University of Miami. They’ve published - technical writing, poetry, and short story pieces, in both print and online publications, such as Poets.org (2024 Alfred Boas Poetry Prize), About Place Journal, Beyond Words Magazine. They were commissioned as a copywriter for a member of Sudan’s transitional government in 2020. In addition, they’ve formerly worked with PoetLore, (America’s oldest poetry publication) & Frontier poetry as staff readers. Their writing is heavily influenced by their degree & background in International Relations.
